TOO MANY SUBJECTS…
As someone who loves storytelling, I tend to look for a story in anything, regardless of the subject. Some may say that I lack a niche, but I prefer to say I have a diverse taste :)
SPORTS
My affinity for photographing sports started in high school, shortly after joining the Men’s Lacrosse team. Whenever I wasn’t playing, I found myself with a camera in my hand, taking pictures for the JV team. Since then, I have found myself taking pictures for several other sports teams, even being recruited to design and print banners for some.
This continued into my freshman year at college, when I found an opportunity to join the inaugural roster for my local school’s developing Men’s Lacrosse team. I now find myself documenting the emotional journey of a first-year collegiate team through photo and video, working closely with Coach Tom Kinney to build an image for the school.
PORTRAIT
My first time taking portraits occurred when a friend asked me to take his graduation pictures. While I had little experience with posing portraits, I discovered an enjoyment for candid/unposed shots.
By taking these unposed stills, I discovered I was able to better capture real human emotion, which I applied heavily on the sports field.
NATURE
I love animals :D
